I am excited because I know it will be flexible and doable with all the other roles and projects that I will be expected to do with the ministry. Things are really coming together...I am super blessed and humbly thankful.

Also, as a team we are beginning to read the book, "The Pursuit of God" by A.W. Tozer and although I am only through the first chapter, it is really awesome. One thought from it that I will leave you with that really challenged me..."there is little that we need other than God Himself. The evil habit of seeking God-and effectively prevents us from finding God in full revelation. In the and lies our great woe. If we omit the and we shall soon find God, and in Him we shall find that for which we have all our lives been secretly longing." (18)

God is good & He is enough...I desire to believe that with every part of my heart and being. And I hope it for your life as well.

I love showing everyone everything. So here is my office that is in the process of being put together. SNSM stands for Saturday Night Student Ministries, and Carrie & I are the two women residents working with 7th-12th grade students throughout the year.
The other pictures are of my other "boss", Jarrett and his family, who I will be working side by side with for the year. His kids are precious so I just had to add the one of the littlest girl :)
They are great & I'm excited to serve with them!

Today was my first day at the "office". We had a morning meeting and then I spent most of the afternoon getting settled, getting stuff set up and getting an in-depth as to what all the goals/expectations/roles are for the year. It already seems like because so much is planned ahead of time, things are going to fly by and the year will be gone quickly.
My prayer is that as time passes I will become more of who God designed me to be by His Spirit at work in my life, that I will be used in such a way that the students that I will be building into will come to greater intimacy with their Creator, and that in everything, He would get all the glory! :) I am already loving it & not much has even begun so I know that things will only continue to be blessings from His hand.

Well I think I just posted about 100 entries but I just wanted y'all :) to see what's getting started for me down here. I will continue to update about what's going on, new jobs/projects, and all that God will be teaching me. I am super stoked and hope that you will keep in contact with me. Please never hesitate to post any updates and/or prayer requests you have because I would love to know what's going on and to be intentionally praying for you!

This is Matt and his wife Martha. Matt is the youth pastor that I will be working for.

This is the amazing house that God has blessed me to live in for this year. My house is in the church grounds backyard so it's wonderfully convenient to be so close. The Wood's are the family I am living with and they are absolutely great. Such an array of great things!

I can walk to the church from where I live, so this is a couple of pictures of my walk there and a prayer garden that is on the church grounds. So many blessings! :)

These are pictures of the church I am working at in Rogers. It's pretty big with different buildings for each ministry.
I have an office in the building to the right (which I will upload pictures of later :)). Most of my time will be spent with the students, and pictures are of the student center which is shown in the picture below (for hanging out), the worship/teaching area (stage with the cross), and the building.
The other two pictures are of the entrance and the main worship/congregation building.
